At Structured Canine Training , I am committed to helping families have an enjoyable life with their dog by providing professional dog training services that are designed to create a structured life that results in a well-balanced dog through communication, guidance, and fulfillment.
I only board and train two dogs at a time to ensure every dog receives the personalized attention and high-quality training they deserve. Every dog is unique, so I offer tailored training programs designed to meet the specific needs of each dog and their owner. I work closely with you to identify areas for improvement and develop a training plan that is effective, engaging, and enjoyable for both you and your dog.
Hi my name is Amber Leon. My journey into dog training started with my own dog, Nova — the first dog I had ever owned. She’s a Belgian Shepherd rescue that I brought home at five months old, and to be honest, I was completely unprepared for the challenges that came with her.
Nova quickly began destroying my home — digging large holes in the backyard, chewing wood frames, beds, rugs, speakers… pretty much anything she could get her teeth on. I was overwhelmed and seriously considered returning her to the shelter.
Instead, I made the decision to learn.
I began implementing structure, training, and crate training — and that’s when everything changed. The destructive behaviors started to disappear, but more importantly, our relationship transformed. We built trust, communication, and a real bond.
That experience opened my eyes. I realized that if I was struggling this much, so were countless other dog owners.
I started working with friends’ and family members’ dogs for free, gaining hands-on experience and continuing to grow my knowledge. Over time, that passion turned into a purpose.
Today, I help families create structure, clarity, and leadership with their dogs so they can enjoy a calm, reliable, and fulfilling life together. My approach focuses not just on training the dog, but on coaching the owner — because lasting results come from clear communication and consistency at home.
